Some things are worth taking good care of. Your money is one of them: Budget exists so that you understand how it evolves and take charge.
Who we are
Budget is the personal-finance line of Mind Your Business, the brand that brings together our services and applications: today, premium holiday rentals and property management (Mind Your Break) and this application to help you with your finances (Mind Your Budget).
And we are a few people with judgement, who take care of a few things and do them well, with technology as an ally and not as an excuse.
What Budget is
Budget is born to promote financial literacy and control of personal finances: knowing your budget, income, expenses and savings, and seeing the future implications of how your money fluctuates.
You put the data in, by hand or by loading your bank statement. You define your budget, check it once a month and Budget does the rest: the month-by-month forecast, account by account, twelve or eighteen months ahead.
One of its aims is to promote financial literacy: every figure explains what it is and where it comes from, without jargon, so that the decisions about your money are yours, and understood.

Four principles behind every screen, which explain why things are done the way they are.
Your data, yours alone.
Budget has no access to user data
Whoever runs the service sees how many people use it and what breaks; never an amount, a concept or an account. No analytics or third-party services. Take your data with you whenever you want and delete it with one button.
You decide what comes in.
Without giving anybody your credentials
You put the data in yourself, by hand or by loading a statement: no credentials are shared with anyone. You decide what comes in and when.
Financial literacy.
Understanding before obeying
Every figure comes with its explanation and its glossary. Budget doesn't tell you what to invest in and sells nothing: the calculations are guidance, the decisions are yours.
Small and solid.
Few things, well cared for
Every step is checked against reality and against proven personal-finance control techniques, not against optimistic assumptions. We only succeed if you understand your finances.
